Town Offices Closed to the Public
TOWN OFFICES CLOSED TO PUBLIC
EFFECTIVE MARCH 16, 2020
Based on recent recommendation from the State of Delaware and Delaware public health experts, the Town of Fenwick Island is implementing the following measures to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19):
Until further notice, the Town of Fenwick Island buildings and offices will be closed to the general public immediately. This includes Town Hall, Public Works Building, and Police Station. The Town Manager, in consultation with the Mayor, will evaluate continued office closures as needed, and will determine when the buildings will reopen to the public.
The Fenwick Island Police Department will continue to respond to calls. Contact the police officer on duty at 302-542-8793. In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
Everyone is encouraged to use the online payment portal on the Town’s website to make any payments. Payments may also be made by US mail.
Town staff will continue to work on site while offices remain closed to the public. If you have a question for a staff member, Town staff will be available at 302-539-3011 and through email.
Essential in-person meetings with Town staff may be arranged by appointment. Please call or email the department you need to meet with to arrange an appointment time.
Our decision to implement these necessary steps is in response to the Coronavirus crisis and in the interest of following proper health and safety practices as recommended by the CDC. Your health, and the health of Town staff, is our highest priority. We encourage you to follow the guidance and recommendations of the local, state, and federal governments. We will continue to review the situation as it evolves and inform you of any further changes.
If you have any questions, please contact Town Hall at 302-539-3011.
