It can be difficult to know where to begin when severe weather has affected your property. Following certain guidelines can help make for a speedier removal process.
What not to do:
- Debris placed on your property cannot be picked up. Contractors cannot collect items on private property.
- Do not prop debris against poles and trees. This makes it harder for cleanup crews to collect the items.
DO separate your debris:
- Household garbage
- Construction debris
- Vegetation debris
- Household hazardous waste
- “White” goods
- Electronics
