Fenwick Island Welcomes Lori Dabbondanza as New Town Manager
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fenwick Island Welcomes Lori Dabbondanza as New Town Manager
Fenwick Island, February 14, 2024 – The Town of Fenwick Island is delighted to announce the appointment of Lori Dabbondanza as the new Town Manager. With 27 years of invaluable experience supporting local government, Lori brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.
Prior to joining Fenwick Island in December 2023, Lori served as the Senior Executive Assistant at the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania, where she dedicated herself to supporting the elected officials from each of their 67 counties. Her extensive background in support of local government positions her as an ideal candidate to lead Fenwick Island into its next chapter of growth and development.
Mayor Magdeburger expressed confidence in Lori’s ability to steer the town towards continued success, stating “Lori joined our Fenwick staff family in December and immediately fit in seamlessly with everyone in Town Hall and the Police Department. In addition, Lori has taken the lead on certain projects and has produced outstanding work. While we had many very strong candidates to consider, the entire Council felt that Lori rose to the top of the list of potential candidates given her proven track record of excellence as well as the fact that she had already earned the respect and support of our Fenwick Town staff and Town Manager Schuchman. We are very pleased that Lori will be assuming the position of Town Manager and look forward to helping her make the transition.”
As Fenwick Island welcomes a new Town Manager, the community also bids farewell to a longtime dedicated employee, Town Manager Pat Schuchman, who has served the town with unwavering dedication for 27 years. Pat will be retiring on April 5 but will continue to serve the Town, as needed, in a consulting role. Mayor Magdeburger shared: “The Town of Fenwick Island extends its heartfelt gratitude to Pat for her years of service and wishes her a fulfilling retirement. Fenwick would not be the unique town it is today without Pat’s leadership and commitment over the last three decades and she leaves an enduring positive legacy of ensuring that Fenwick maintained its family-friendly atmosphere while under her watch. Fenwick will be forever indebted to Pat for her service to our town.”
I am honored to have been selected as the new Town Manager of Fenwick Island,” said Lori Dabbondanza. “I am committed to working collaboratively with the Town Council, staff, and residents to uphold the values and vision of our community. Together, I am confident that we will continue to build a vibrant, resilient, and thriving Fenwick Island for generations to come.”
Lori Dabbondanza will assume her role as Town Manager on April 8, 2024, following Pat Schuchman’s retirement. The Town of Fenwick Island looks forward to the leadership and expertise Lori will bring to the community.
