The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) in conjunction with the Town of Fenwick Island is holding a public meeting on a pedestrian improvement project within the town. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Town of Fenwick Town Hall located at 800 Coastal Highway, Fenwick Island, DE 19944. The purpose of this workshop is to update the public on the planned improvements and obtain comments on the proposed project which will add pedestrian facilities along Coastal Highway (SR1) from Lighthouse Road (SR54) to James Street.
Attendees will have the opportunity to review the proposed alternatives and provide comments to DelDOT representatives. Members of the project team and Town of Fenwick Island officials will be on hand to answer questions. This public feedback will be used to finalize the design of the proposed pedestrian improvements.
Interested persons are invited to express their views in writing, giving reasons for support of, or opposition to, the presented design. Comments will be received at the workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT Community Relations P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903, sent via email to dotpr@delaware.gov.
The comment deadline will be June 30, 2025.
